Shikibo honours ITL Cosmos Group

ITL Cosmos Group, the Dubai-based company has recently received a high ranking delegation from Shikibo, Ltd, Japan and vowed to further strengthen bilateral relationship. The overall purpose of the visit by the delegation from the Shikibo Ltd, Japan to Dubai was further strengthening their presence in gulf markets and emphasis on Dubai as the centre for distribution to cover the area of Middle East in particular.

In the meeting, Takeo Nojo, President of Shikibo congratulated ITL Group on the 60th anniversary and revived memories with their continuing business partner.

Dr Ram Buxani, President of ITL Group thanked the delegation and said, "Shikibo and ITL have joined a very strong bond for several decades. Shikibo has announced the introduction of new product - a deodorizing fabric with the sub-brand identity of Super Anier a unique concept in fabrics in the Gulf market.

Dubai, UAE; October 13, 2012 : Cosmos ITL Group, the leading distributor of consumer appliances and IT products in the region with a presence of over 60 years in the UAE, has signed an agreement with Universal Electronics, whereby Cosmos ITL Group will be the exclusive distributor in the Middle East for the globally popular ‘One For All’ brand of television accessories from Universal.

Dr. Ram Buxani, President of Cosmos ITL Group, said that the partnership with the US-based Universal Enterprises is of strategic importance for the company, as it further strengthens its brand portfolio, offering a wider bandwidth of world-class products for consumers.

Universal Enterprises represents ‘One  For All,’ a brand with a strong portfolio of premium AV accessories of the highest quality standards.  In addition, One  For All (OFA) complements the major television brands rather than compete with them as it maintains a good degree of brand neutrality.

Menno Koopmans, Vice President (International Sales), at UE, said that the partnership with Cosmos ITL Group will further strengthen the market outreach of OFA, given the vast network of the company.      “in fact, in almost every second home globally, the remote control being used would have been designed by UE, and we are now delighted to further strengthen the product reach in the region.”

Universal Enterprises was founded in 1986 and is the global leader in wireless control technology for the connected home. Its portfolio of patented technologies and databases of infrared control software have been adopted by many Fortune 500 companies and leading consumer electronics brands globally.

On the partnership with Cosmos ITL Group for entering the Middle East now, Koopmans explained that the initial offering from UE mainly included universal remote control devices. “But now we have added several other products, including brackets, LCD/LED & DVD/BR cleaners, DVD/BR cleaners, premium quality cables, headphones, antennae and switches. So with a complete portfolio, OFA offers a strong value proposition to the customer.”

Koopmans said that over the past few years OFA has been growing to now hold a top slot in two of its primary product lines: remote controls and antennae in Europe and the US. OFA recently entered India and is now building its position in the ME & Africa, and the Far East is next.

Dr. Buxani added that Cosmos ITL Group  plans to introduce OFA in the UAE this month (October) and subsequently in all major countries of the Middle East. He also said Cosmos ITL Group is planning to partner with other major vendors shortly.

Rhythm celebrates 50th anniversary of partnership

Dubai, UAE; May 16, 2011: Rhythm, the globally renowned manufacturer of elegant clocks and timepieces, marked its golden jubilee of partnership with ITL-Cosmos in Dubai. To mark the celebration, Rhythm and ITL-Cosmos donated 500 exquisite pieces of Rhythm clocks to the Government of Dubai.

At a gala ceremony held at Grand Hyatt Dubai, ITL-Cosmos honoured its leading dealers and mediahouses for their continued support over the years.

Mr. Nobuyuki Sugano, Executive Managing Officer, Sharp Corporation Japan flew to Dubai to grace the function. Indian Consul General Venu Rajamony and Japan Consul General Hiroyasu Kobayashi and other dignitaries were guests of the evening, marked by cultural performances and an exhibition highlighting the golden jubilee of association between ITL-Cosmos and Sharp Corporation.

Al Razouki International Exchange board meeting approves new growth plans

Dubai, UAE; December 18, 2007: Sharp Corporation, the world’s leader in innovative consumer electronics and home appliances, and Cosmos-ITL Group, one of the oldest business houses in the UAE, have joined hands to promote eco-friendly electronic home products in the Middle East, with a special focus on the UAE.

This comes as a direct response to the ‘green Dubai’ initiatives unveiled earlier by UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Sharp is shaping their new product range – traditionally referred to as ‘white products’ - to more eco-friendly technologies and thus create a strong roster of ‘green products’ which will complement the current thrust by the UAE on sustainable environmental practices.

Dr Ram Buxani, Executive Vice Chairman, Cosmos-ITL Group, met Mr Katsuhiko Machida, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sharp Corporation, in Osaka, Japan, on Monday, and discussed the shifting trends in the UAE market, where there is a definite customer preference for eco-friendly products.

Sharp’s new products such as the Plasmacluster 4-Door Fridge using the Plasmacluster Ion System is one such product that addresses the needs of the Middle East population. Sharp has also introduced its Plasmacluster Ion System in air-purifiers. The technology is effective against airborne bacteria and mould spores, and significantly reduces the level of greenhouse gases.

Sharp Corp. introduces Plasmacluster Ion technology in UAE

Dubai, 13 Nov. 2007: Japanese consumer electronics giant Sharp Corporation has launched its eco-friendly Plasmacluster Ion technology in UAE, in association with Cosmos ITL Group, Middle East’s pioneer business conglomerate and Sharp’s UAE distributor.

Unveiling the new series of Sharp’s stylish air purifying products, Dr Ram Buxani, Executive Vice Chairman Cosmos ITL Group said: ‘The unique air purifiers are inspired by world’s first-of-its-kind Plasmacluster Ion technology, and the products are effective in eliminating a total of 27 kinds of harmful airborne species. We hope the exclusive air purification technology will coincide with the eco-friendly drive initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.’

Managing Director Sharp Middle East, Mr. Tomio Isogai described: ‘The Plasmacluster Ion technology, contributing to help create an eco-friendly community, plays an active role in a wide range of lifestyle situations.
